Undergraduate students can collaborate with a faculty member in a field of interest starting in their sophomore year. Research efforts become particularly fruitful during their junior and senior years. Through this involvement, students engage in research and gain experience writing academic articles throughout their undergraduate education. Starting in their sophomore year, they can enroll in the CS390 Individual Research Study course, which integrates research activities into their curriculum. Additionally, in the second semester of their junior year or during their senior year, students can take the CS490 Senior Research Project course as a Technical Elective, allowing them to conduct research within the framework of this course.
