On 30th October 2020, STM organized a 24-hour long capture-the-flag (CTF) competition in which 161 teams from all over Turkey took place. Bilkent University’s hacking society “Exploit Studio” grabbed 2nd place in the competition. The team consisted of Yaman Yağız Taşbağ (CS), Mustafa Kemal Can (BAU-CS), Muhammad Saboor (CS), and Arslan Masood (IU-MATHS). In cybersecurity field, CTF competitions involve participants solving security related problems and exploiting vulnerable systems. These problems belong to different categories such as cryptography, web application hacking, mobile application hacking, forensics, reverse engineering, and malware analysis.
